After the wax forms have placed on to the casting "Tree", time has come for the Brass casting.
I've prepared many problems ahead of time just for you. I purposely placed the synthetic-stones into the wax-tree, why? I want you see just what happens to the stones during the hot casting process.
Many of these rings were bent out of shape from my fingers holding the very soft wax form.
No soft Green stones should be remaining in the soft wax, look what happened?
There appears to be a crack in the metal during the casting process.
You can see a white stone that didn't make the casting...WOOPS! No wax ring should be placed too close to the other rings.
Gypsy-Flush stones must not be secured into the wax form as breakage will be a common occurrence. Cleaning after casting will be time wasting process. If this was gold, can you imagine the time, labour and metal being wasted?
Where did these bumps come from? These are defects on the actual wax impression. ALWAYS KEEP YOUR WAX-RINGS CLEAN.
This is a poor condition of the ring, nothing or it can be used or salvaged.
Again, this is a disaster of rings being attached to the "tree". Many of the stones are broken or cracked, all of the Gypsy-Set stones are thoroughly 'wasted'.
This is a side-view of the many errors in casting, not too mention the holes in the Channel ring are full of metal. Long before any casting that will take place, there should not be any problems prior to any metal casting.
Please avoid in placing your rings so close together, why? It will be a rather difficult and annoying process in removing them.
