My client came across a high number of CAD patterns by way of computer renderings. These were designed (overseas) and here they are. This collection of attachments is for a "Cuban Necklace". (Not from Cuba) of course.
=========================================
I will not use any metal clamping device especially a GRS with the little pins to squeeze the delicate sides of each of the CAD castings.
I will use a 'shellac compound' to hold each item securely. (This is my decision in my diamond setting process).
Any 'trademark and carat' stampings MUST BE AFFIXED prior to any stone settings. My jeweller will do this 'identification and pre-post polishing' at his workshop & office.
Here you can see the many stones been displayed at the CAD working program.
Every individual piece must be totally clean with the aid of a "Magnetic Polishing" tumbler. This tumbler actually has little steel pins to get inside all of the areas where the large cloth polishing can't get to.
These pins will bounce around in the plastic bowl with the 'pins' and they will reach into every area of the necklace and make them all shine.
How many gemstones are in this necklace, I have do idea? I'm only interested, in getting every item 'cleaned and pre-polished' to perfection. After which a mild "Rouge polishing" will make this into a "Piece of Wearable Art".
How long will this project take? The time involved is not a critical aspect, my client wishes to have 100% perfection in setting every stone.
This is where my 65 years at the bench makes this setting unique, this whole project from start to finish is not for any novice or 'intermediate level' jewellery craftsperson.
If you have any project similar to this, please contact a well qualified Diamond Setter.
These numbers shown below are the size for each stone, the sizes are 1.0 mm's & 1.4 mm's.
Here are the gram weights for every metal, this is so important at this stage of calculating the total pricing.
Here is a another pricing for metals & gram weights.
How important are these calculations? I suggest you figure these out for yourself. Without any of these numbers, there wouldn't be any chance to make accurate pricings.
As this is my clients first casting & jewellery attempt, he will use ONLY Moissanite stones.
I MUST BE THE "QUALITY CONTROL SUPERVISOR" & GEMSTONE SETTER.
