"Corning Glass Museum" Corning, New York. USA.

 Dear blog-readers!

 It is with the greatest pleasure, that I present to you 18 photos from the "Corning Glass Museum" in Corning, New York, USA.

 I visited this museum back in 1965, and I recently 'found' this book showing the many photographs, There were many "black & white photos", but I copied only the "genuine, coloured photos" for your easier viewing and pleasure.

 I attempted to insert all of the necessary information supplied for each photo, this wasn't an easy task, as the printing was really too small.

============================================

Why do I feel close contact with this museum? It is dedicated to one of our Ganoksin artisans by the name of "Taf Schaefer". She and I share the same interests.

In fact, I sent her this booklet as a surprise gift, I told her that once she opens up her gift, I will gladly post these collections of photographs. Why is this booklet so important to her? She has the greatest skill of CREATING glass figurines for this same "Corning Glass Museum" in New York, U.S.A.

 This was a painting showing how the glass-blowers created their craft in the mid-1400s.

Can you imagine that this Amphora was made almost 3,800 years ago?

This is the book cover from this fantastic museum!

 This colourful vial is estimated at 675 years old.

Words fail me in describing the colours.

The lid of this bottle (?) was blurred when it was initially photographed.

I wanted to show the Chinese lettering up close, then again with its companion bottle.

 I tried to enlarge the painting, as I wanted to have you see up-close how the glass-blowers were doing their craft. Can you see just how much smoke there was in their factory? Cough, cough!

  This little "Sugar Bowl" is about 175 years old. This looks like it could still be used today!
