There are many techniques involved in this process of setting a "R.B.C." (Round Brilliant Cut) stone. What I use has been in my setters mind, for literally decades and has been shown to many hundreds of students. This reprint of my article in the "BENCH" magazine shows how relatively it is in setting a large stone. Again practice at a 'slow pace', build up your confidence, keep your setting tools for only setting, not your jewellery crafting tools.
