Bezel Setting

The skill of Bezel Setting is nothing new, but many times little added subtle setting changes come about. I am now showing you many photographs at each step, each step is essential on it's own. There are no shortcuts, only the correct way to master this skill. Repetition and practice is the teacher!
In this topic I am using a 9 x 7mm stone but with a rather thick girdle, why so? Nothing in this life is perfect, better you learn from the most difficult stone, then the 'exact size' comes easier, agree?
I have an estimated 39 photographs, but I will select only the best teaching photographs.
This particular Bezel essay appeared on Ganoksin/Orchid only a few short weeks ago. These are the exact same photographs that were featured then..enjoy them! BTW, I was using a HSS bur of 4.50mm in diameter and the Bezel-wall measured 2.10mm's in thickness. On rings to be set, I prefer a clamp that does not allow the ring to move move when being used, my preference of an "Inside, Ring-Clamp Holder"..enjoy the reading!
