Cluster of Diamonds on a dog tag => 3 photos

This interesting pendant is not one of the basic patterns that you normally see. Why is this? It has a large assortment of gemstones, and these are not to be set while it is in one piece. This pendant must be set in a total of 3 separate pieces.

The 'corner holes' shown are for gemstones of your choice.

As these pieces were not made for each other, these were definitely a 'mix & match' wherever possible.

To accommodate the 'disk & plate' as one unit, there had to be some wax modifications to the wax plate.
The stone setting should be attempted as individual units. Then having the metal be 'set and polished', followed with soldering of the 3 sections.
I would set the plate first, then the circle of gemstones. The next step would be to set the small round ring top and polish it gently. The final step would be to solder the round disk inside where the circle of stones is located.
Is this a convoluted process? It is indeed, but that's how a 3-piece pendant is finally created.
