This section is all about inserting gemstones INTO A WAX FORM. You will see there is much cleaning to be done around each stone. Each stone in the wax will be then cast into metal.
In this photograph, you can see little pieces of wax, GET RID OF IT NOW!

Remove every bit of the wax that is sitting on the edges of the girdle, of every stone. It's better to do it now, than after the metal casting when it's more difficult to clean.

If the stone is crooked or not siting correctly, fix it in the wax. Remove all of the dirt that is being collecting from the constant handling.

I would ask you to straighten each bent wax claw, using a (soft brass) metal pusher. Remove any residual pieces of wax.

Remove all bits of dirt that is sitting on the wax. YOU MUST HAVE A CLEAN WAX FOR YOUR CASTING.

This photograph shows just how spacing is determined. Every stone must be carefully selected and prepared for the "drilling process". The aforementioned "layout" is so carefully prepared. Each stone should be ALMOST touching, when the twist-drill is starting to be cored out, the girdles of each stone should allow for the Bead-Raising process.
