If you are a horse aficionado, these waxes are for you.
========================
When you are wanting to cast the horse's head with no errors, it's advisable to add a few sprues at the delicate areas.
One simple thin sprue is not sufficient. I'd suggest a thicker sprue to allow the metal to flow easily in the flask.
These 'dots' were the anticipated areas for drilling gem settings.
These additional sprues greatly assist the flow of metal during the casting process.
When you are attaching a wax sprue, always think of the flow of metal. Never guess and wait for problems to arise.
'
Thicker wax sprues are our friends'.
Here is a very delicate wax horse that needs a little more care, agree?
Attach the wax sprue to an area where cleaning won't be a problem.
BTW, I made a rubber mould of this horse, just in case a casting problem arises.
