When I had my office, a client walked in and gave me this ring, pity that I didn't have any more photos of it. But suffice to say, it's now serving its purpose in this blog.
There are two styles of Baguette setting for this project. The easiest is 'end bezels' and the next is to set these remaining 4 stones into a "Tube Setting".
The question now is which of the 3 shapes of stones would you set first?
The Level of Difficulty is 30 out of 10.
In OUR blog you will find essays instructing on 'How to Set Stones in a Tube Setting'.
=======================
I might suggest the Tube Setting be prepared for setting, but not yet! There is much to do long before the 'end bezel' settings start.
I used an "HSS, undercutting bur" to prepare a good seat for this large Round Diamond.
With the mini-groove as to where the Diamond should be located. I selected my burs of all shapes and sizes just for this procedure.
As you can see there is a faint line inside the Tube for where the centre stone will be placed. This line was determined ahead of time while still in the CAD designing website.
Four baguettes are set into the bottom of the Tube Setting. This allowed only the outside Baguette to be secured with only an 'End Bezel' claw. The remaining inside claw was actually the Tube itself.
The final setting was the regular '2-End Bezels'.
(In my hurry to get the photographs taken, I neglected to show the square-shaped diamonds in their settings) sorry about this!
Once the centre stone was initially set, I got to set the 4 stones with only the ends of the stones inside the Tube itself. Such a convoluted method, just so mind-numbing, eh? The next process was the 4 Baguettes with End Bezels.
